Beckham invests in cannabis

David Beckham has invested in Cellular Goods, a company that makes skincare and athletic recovery products using biosynthetic cannabinoids¹. Cannabinoids are compounds found in cannabis plants that have various effects on the body and mind. Cellular Goods is the first company of its kind to list on the London Stock Exchange (LSE), and it has a valuation of £20 million². The company claims that its products are cleaner, greener, purer, and more sustainable than those derived from plants³. David Beckham is said to believe that the use of CBD (cannabidiol), one of the cannabinoids, in consumer goods is an attractive growth prospect for his investment portfolio⁴. He may also have plans to license his brand to the company in the future⁴.
